FoodSouth’s South Island hub is focused on scale-up support for food and beverage companies.
The new partnership agreement will see BioSouth install and commission a 50-litre fermentation system in FoodSouth’s research facility at Lincoln University.
This microbial fermentation equipment will allow FoodSouth to expand its offering to local food and beverage companies, giving those companies the opportunity to take work in synthetic proteins and bioactive compounds from the benchtop to scale-up and commercial scale production.
